Murray was Chairman of First Samuel Limited for a period of 10 years from 2009 to 2020.
He has 40 years’ experience as a legal practitioner focusing on the law, governance and regulation of organisations. He was the inaugural Assistant Commissioner General Counsel of the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC) from 2012-2019.
He is an Adjunct Professor of the University of Western Australia and a Senior Fellow of the Melbourne University Law School. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors where he was on the steering committee for the development of the AICD Not for profit Governance Principles 2019. He has held several positions on the boards of public companies.
Mr Baird is a Non-Executive Director of First Samuel Limited, and a member of the Remuneration & Nominations and Investment Governance Committees.
