Anthony Starkins, Executive Director and a long-time Mount Eliza resident, will forgo his daily commute to Collins Street and will focus on serving individuals, couples and families in Mount Eliza and Mornington Peninsula.

With over 45 years in the financial services industry, Anthony Starkins brings not only world-class expertise but also a deep personal commitment to the Mount Eliza community he proudly calls home.
Before founding First Samuel in 1999, Anthony spent nearly two decades with Schroders and then J.P. Morgan, working in Melbourne, Sydney, Tokyo, Singapore, and London. These global roles in treasury, capital markets, and investment management gave him an insider’s understanding of how sophisticated financial strategies are built — knowledge he now applies to helping Australian families achieve lasting financial success.

Anthony founded First Samuel with a simple idea: that individuals and families deserve the same disciplined investment expertise as major institutions, but delivered with trust and personal care. For more than two decades, that philosophy has guided the firm’s work — advising high net worth families, and crafting bespoke wealth strategies that align with each client’s goals and values.
Anthony has always believed in giving back to the community. He has served as a director of Alfred Health, Ruyton Girls’ School, and the Melbourne Football Club. He now extends First Samuel’s ‘Collins Street expertise’ to a Mount Eliza presence.
