First Samuel is strongly committed to the highest ethical standards. This is not just a statement but something that is in our DNA. Since our founding in 1999, we have always put each client’s interests above our own.

It took a Royal Commission for the public to realise that this industry has been corroded by unethical behaviour by both companies and individuals, for decades. Unfortunately, these days ethical wealth management services occur because the government requires it. First Samuel is ethical because it is the ‘right and proper thing to do.’

There are three aspects to ethics.

Firstly, transparency. This applies to disclosures such as exactly what is in your portfolio and exactly what fees are you paying.

Secondly, behaviour. This means the way we conduct our business. If something is not in the best interests of our clients, we will not do it or recommend it, even at our cost.

Thirdly, reciprocity. We expect our clients to act ethically and respectfully toward us and our Associates.
